Biography

In 1999, Hunkeler and his best friend Paul Young created the 29th Infantry Division; a realism unit based out of Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear. Reaching a climax in the year 2000 at 38 members, the 29th ID moved to Half-Life: FireArms (version 2.4). During the transition, the 29th ID lost over half of its soldier. When Day of Defeat: Beta 1 was released to the public in early 2001, the 29th ID had already reserved its place within the community.

Hunkeler frequently posted in the Day of Defeat Strategy Forum, and after submitting a battle-plan for the map dod_caen, he received a message from Captain Higgins of the 3rd Infantry Division. The body of the text was lost to time, but in short, Higgins asked if Hunkeler wanted to get together on ICQ to talk about tactics. At the end of May, as the 29th ID was barely holding together at seams, he decided to sit down with Higgins. After a very mature conversation, and quite possibly the most adrenaline pumping game of DoD ever, the friendship between the two soldiers was born.
