Oath
I, ___________ (name), having been appointed a Second Lieutenant, in the United States Army, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the integrity and honor of the 3rd Infantry Division against all enemies, that I will make every effort to lead by example and inspire my soldiers in combat; that I take this obligation freely, and will ensure to the best of my ability to uphold the high standard of conduct inherent as an officer in the 3rd ID. I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter. Rock of the Marne!
