Recruit Tag Program (Concept)
From 3rd ID Wiki
| This was presented to the command staff February 3rd, 2005, by Hunkeler. This concept was overlooked. |
Proposal
We could eliminate the usage of Private as being a training-only rank. This could be accomplished by one of two ways:
- RCT [name] [3rd ID]
- [name] [3rd ID]
- They not an official part of the unit, and it will most definitely show them where they stand on the chain of the command - no where.
- They don't exist until they pass BCT, and only then will they be awarded the rank of Private. From there on out, Private will be a true rank that holds no chevron, and they will have to work for their Private First Class stripe.
Pros
- Easy to distinguish who is a recruit (from the outside)
- No mouthing off, because they're not deluded by the rank of Private.
- Harder working soldiers (seeing as they have to earn their ranks).
- Something new in the division.
- Would make it easier to enforce rules concerning "Recruit LOA" issues we've had in the past. Among other things.
Cons
- Something new in the division (for the conservatives)
- Could look retarded from the outside.
- Requires some minimal site redesign, and probably some database work.
- Some possible getting used to.
